Step right up for a fortune-telling experience that's barely accurate, but definitely unforgettable.

Magdalena, the "fortune teller", combines a crystal ball, questionable predictions and a healthy dose of dark humour in a show that's as absurd as it is entertaining.

Described by the 'Scotsman' (top newspaper in the UK) as 'unexpected, clever, ridiculous but great stuff, crystal ball and all', this interactive comedy has left audiences worldwide laughing and wondering what just happened.

Some say it's life-changing, others call it pure nonsense-but no one escapes without a few laughs, some spirit summoning and answers you probably didn't want.

Review: “0.1% Accurate: Magdalena the fortune teller”

 Edinburgh Fringe 2026

****

Absurd, original, dark and joyous. This is one of those hidden gems of the fringe you really have to catch! Celebrating imagination, play and creativity in all its forms, reminding us that magic is real, especially when Magdelena is around.

We booked this on a whim, not knowing what to expect or what would unfold. There’s a certain level of smugness that comes from taking a chance and it fully pays off. Especially at the Fringe. But this show hit all the right notes.

Magdalena and her crystal ball managed to marry absurdist, creative comedy with the real life questions from the audience, finding answers to our genuine life decisions and dilemmas and making connections between the audience members that are both hilarious and obscene.

By the end of the show Magdelena had us all hooked. She had convinced audience members to leave the army, move to Italy and even channelled someone’s grandad (who they’d conveniently never met), as well as convince us personally of a deep magical connection to a taxidermist enthusiast audience member through the wild coincidence of us both knowing a woman called Mary (different Marys).

Creative and hilarious improvised plot, that captivates the whole audience with many surprises along the way. This surreal, unexpected show gave us original comedy and physical theatre with impeccable comic timing. The chemistry between Magdalena and the crystal ball (aka Ori Halevy) was electric and infectious and clear they really understand each other as performers.

Be warned, this show might make you make drastic life decisions (for the better), or it might just have you in stitches instead.

Does Magdalena really have magic powers? 100%! Should you see this show? Absolutely!
